Circle Advisory provides socioeconomic and cultural impact assessment and management and social performance solutions to help clients manage social and cultural risk while creating measurable and positive impact in communities.
Founded in 2014 by James Kernaghan, Circle works at the nexus of industry, community and government.
James has more than 40 years of experience in resources development in Australia and the near region in stakeholder and community engagement and communications; local content and capacity building; sustainability, social investment and social performance, socioeconomic and cultural impact management; land access, Aboriginal Land, Native Title and cultural heritage management; and project approvals.

James Kernaghan
Founder, Director & Principal Consultant
James Kernaghan is a community engagement and impact management professional with more than 38 years’ experience across major projects in Australia and Timor-Leste.
His expertise spans stakeholder and community engagement, social performance, socioeconomic impact management, local content and capacity building, Aboriginal land, native title and cultural heritage, and project approvals.
James founded Circle Advisory in 2014 and works closely with clients to develop practical, strategic solutions for complex projects and communities.
